After graduating from a university in the United States, Masanori Inamura spent 17 years--including five years working abroad--engaged in roles such as fixed-income portfolio sales, serving both domestic and international financial institutions (including a European central bank).

In 2001, he joined the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission (SESC) of the Financial Services Agency (FSA) as a derivatives trading inspector, conducting inspections of Japanese and foreign financial institutions.

In 2004, FSA sent him to the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC @Chicago office)as a detailee for one year, where he worked alongside federal inspectors and an Illinois-licensed attorney on inspections regarding multiple cases of fraud and other violations within the United States.

After leaving the FSA in 2007, he was involved in various senior management positions--including Executive Officer, Head of Legal & Compliance Department, and Chief Internal Control Officer --at multiple Japanese and foreign investment banks, overseeing firm-wide internal control operations.

In September 2026, he joined Kuni Umi AI Securities Co., Ltd. as General Manager of Internal Control within the Compliance Department.
